XJTLU Business School Visits i3L to Expand Academic Collaboration

Jakarta, 16 December 2025 – On Monday, December 8, 2025, i3L University welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) International Business School Suzhou (IBSS). This visit signifies a strategic effort to expand academic collaboration from the successful foundation built in the life sciences into the dynamic field of Business and Management. This initiative is driven by a commitment to provide i3L students with enhanced global academic experiences and broader professional networking opportunities.

High-Level Discussion on Interdisciplinary Business Collaboration

The delegation was led by Dr. Ewout van der Schaft, Dean of the School of Business at XJTLU, and Ms. Ira Winati, XJTLU’s Indonesia Representative. Their visit highlights the strategic importance of this growing partnership.

The i3L team welcoming the delegates included key academic and administrative figures:

  • Elizabeth Furio Perez, BBF, MBA, DBA, Dean of the School of Business and Management.
  • Andamar Pradipta, S.Sos., M.A., Ph.D., Head of International Business Management.
  • Ms. Patricia Karissa. Personal Assistant to the Dean of the School of Business and Management.

The primary focus of the discussion was to explore specific areas for collaboration within the School of Business and Management. Building upon the existing successful partnership in the School of Health and Life Sciences (since 2024), both institutions are keen to create new interdisciplinary pathways. This demonstrates a deep expertise in structuring complex, cross-institutional programs.

Following the productive talks, the XJTLU representatives were given a comprehensive campus tour, guided by the Dean of the School of Business and Management and the i3L International Office team.
