What is Credit Transfer?

Credit Transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of an individual’s Learning Outcomes acquired through formal, non-formal or informal education, and/or work experience, serving as a basis for pursuing further formal education and establishing equivalency with specific qualifications.

How to Transfer Credit from your previous University?

The proposed course must demonstrate at least a 75% alignment with the Course Learning Outcomes (CLO/CPMK) of the corresponding course offered at i3L.

The course must carry a credit weight equivalent to the credits at i3L.
The final grade obtained in the course must be a minimum of B.
The credit transfer evaluation process will be conducted by the i3L academic team based on the submitted official documents (academic transcript and course syllabus).

The study duration varies for each prospective student, depending on the results of the course equivalency assessment.

  • The Admission and Academic Office teams must first review the academic transcript to determine the number of credits that can be transferred.
  • On average, students complete their studies within 2–7 semesters, subject to curriculum alignment.
Fees adhere to the standard regulations for regular i3L students. The total cost is influenced by the number of semesters required and the total credit load. Detailed fee information will be provided once the transcript evaluation process is complete.
Yes, i3L accepts RPL applications from D3 to S1. The number of recognized credits remains dependent on the results of the curriculum alignment analysis.

Prospective students who:
  • Hold a Diploma (D3) or have prior Bachelor’s (S1) experience and wish to continue their education.

  • Possess complete transcripts and academic documentation.
  • Submission: Submit the academic transcript to the i3L Admission Team.
  • Pre-screening: The Admission & Academic Teams conduct a document pre-screening and course alignment analysis.
  • Notification: The prospective student receives information regarding the number of transferable credits.
  • Registration: The prospective student proceeds with formal registration.
  • Entrance Test: The student sits for the i3L entrance examination.
  • Finalization: Upon acceptance, the Academic Office finalizes the Credit Transfer process.
  • Payment: The student settles the tuition fees.
Classes are conducted Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00, depending on the specific course schedule of each study program.
The teaching language used at i3L is English.
Yes, RPL applies to all undergraduate (S1) study programs at i3L, provided that the previously taken courses are relevant to the existing curriculum.
