Jakarta, 2nd September 2024 – Transitioning from high school to university can be both exciting and challenging. At i3L, we aim to ease this transition through a well-structured Orientation Week, which this year was themed “Enzymos.” Inspired by enzymes that catalyze essential biological processes, the event was designed to be the catalyst for the new cohort’s successful university life. For the academic year 2024/2025, we welcomed 146 new students across various programs, including International Business Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Pharmacy, and Master of Biomanagement.

The orientation journey began with a pre-orientation week, where students engaged in icebreakers and team-building activities to foster a sense of community. They were also introduced to the campus, rules, and the event’s structure through sessions led by mentors and the Center for Student Development (CSD). These activities were instrumental in helping students feel comfortable and prepared for the main orientation week, which started on August 19, 2024.

Throughout Orientation Week, students participated in a variety of sessions and activities designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed for university life. The week included academic introductions, seminars on civic responsibility and university policies, as well as fun and engaging student-led activities like the Amazing Race and group performances. Key departments such as the International Office, Academic Operation, NeoACIS, iNEU, and Building Management provided essential insights, while government seminars on topics like national defense and anti-corruption further enriched the students’ experience.
