Indonesia International Institute for Life-Sciences (i3L) continues to be committed to using the best and currently available technology in order to improve effective communication. One form of using this technology is social media which can now be used for various purposes such as sharing knowledge, publishing news, and interacting with cyberspace. 

By using social media, this goal is able to reach a wider community, of course in new and interesting ways, among the most popular social media are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, LinkedIn, and Tik Tok.

PURPOSE

This guideline is to encourage more effective use of social media. And to act as a guideline for all registered social media users. Likewise, to ensure the social media match the professional reputation of i3L, all lecturers, staff, alumni, and students need to pay attention.

SCOPE

This guideline covers all social media activities managed by students, staff, and lecturers who officially represent i3L.

This guideline does not cover social media activities managed by students, staff, and lecturers who do not officially represent i3L. 

This guideline allows changes and improvement without prior notice.

SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT REGISTRATION GUIDE

Guidelines for registering social media accounts for faculties, study programs, study centers, institutions, and student organizations are as follows:

Naming Guide

The naming of social media must specifically represent the names of faculties, study programs, study centers, institutions, and student organizations on behalf of i3L.
Naming social media must use the name of i3L either in front or behind faculties, study programs, study centers, institutions, and student organizations. Example: Student Council of i3L or @i3LStudentCouncil

Logo Usage Guide

Social media accounts must include the official UII logo as part of the profile picture. It is not allowed to change the name, logo, and shape in any way.
The official logo can be downloaded via i3L.ac.id/logo

 

Registration Guide 

Please provide information to the Brand and Communication Department (for faculties and staff) and the Center of Student Development (for students and alumni) regarding the use of social media, both for existing accounts and upcoming accounts.

This step is necessary to facilitate coordination between social media users and i3L representatives. Social media account managers must provide essential information to the appropriate correspondent, this includes the manager’s name, email, and contact number.

SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT USE GUIDE

 

Mutual Respect

  • Please do not include detailed personal information to avoid being misused by others.
  • Do Respect other social media users, both individuals, and communities. 
  • Make sure not to publish materials that contain elements of SARA.
  • Critical and negative comments are to be responded to politely.
  • The account manager has the right to delete comments that are intolerable for violating the terms.
  • Ensure that the use of social media does not violate the laws in force in Indonesia. 
  • Ensure that the use of social media does not violate university regulations and social media regulations.

 

Honesty

  •  Include credible information to foster public credibility and trust.
  • Inform that social media accounts are representations of faculties, study programs, study centers, institutions, and/or student organizations at i3L.
  • Please do not include detailed personal information to avoid being misused by others

 

Accountability

  • Ensure the credibility of content before posting on social media. 
  • If possible, include the source of the information submitted. 
  • If there is an error in conveying information, immediately revise it, convey an apology, and immediately clarify the information properly. 

 

Intensity of Use

  • Use social media effectively. 
  • Make sure to continuously upload posts and have the latest information. 
  • Give a fast response to every inquiry that comes into your social media account.

 

General Content

  • Everything that has been published through social media is general information and can be consumed by everyone.
  • Make sure that the published content is free from things that will have bad consequences in the future. 
  • Keep in mind that account managers are responsible for published information

 

Internal Privacy.

  • It is not permitted to disclose internal university information or privacy to the public through social media.
  • Respect the privacy of other social media users. 

 

Professionalism

  • The account manager must act professionally.
  • Personal content must not be shared through social media accounts that officially represent the university. 
  • It is not allowed to express personal opinions and be made in such a way as to represent the university. 
  • If you have to, convey that the opinion published is your personal opinion, not the university. 
  • It is not allowed to use social media accounts that represent the university for political, and individual interests. 
  • It is not allowed to use social media accounts that represent the university for commercials unless it is to support university events.
