Sartorius and i3L University sign Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen biopharma workforce development in Southeast Asia
Partnership aims to develop industry-relevant training programs and expand access to bioprocessing education in the region
Jakarta, 16 April 2026 – Sartorius, a leading international partner to the biopharmaceutical research and the manufacturing industries, and i3L University, a premium life sciences higher education and research institute, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of training programs for the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector in Southeast Asia.
Under the non-binding agreement, Sartorius Stedim Singapore Pte. Ltd. and i3L University will jointly design and implement practice-oriented training formats aimed at developing industry-ready talent, equipping trainees with essential competencies in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and expanding access to high-quality technical training throughout Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian region.
i3L University will take the lead in organizing the programs, engaging participants, and providing academic and logistical support. Sartorius will contribute its technical expertise, bioprocess know-how, and training content, based on its extensive experience working with biopharmaceutical manufacturers worldwide.
The MoU takes effect on April 9, 2026, and the agreement was signed by representatives of Sartorius Stedim Singapore Pte. Ltd. and i3L University, underscoring their shared commitment to supporting the development of a robust biopharmaceutical ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
