On 20 July 2024, Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L) hosted a collaborative seminar with Himpunan Seminat Farmasi Industri (HISFARIN) called Pharmanexa. This year’s gathering was a remarkable success, featuring groundbreaking advancements and insightful discussions within the field of pharmaceuticals about technological innovations regarding continuous manufacturing, PAT, and RTRT. The event commenced with thought-provoking keynote addresses delivered by distinguished experts who offered valuable perspectives on the future of pharmaceuticals.

With almost 100 participants, including students, faculty members, company representatives, and the general public, Pharmanexa 2024 showcased a growing enthusiasm for pharmaceuticals scientific innovation both within and beyond the i3L community. One of the standout presentations was by Dr. Ria Christine Siagian, Head of Drug Registration at BPOM, who provided a comprehensive regulatory perspective on continuous manufacturing, process analytical technology, and real-time release testing. Noviani Rustanto’s presentation on “Process Analytical Technology in Revolutionizing the Pharma Industry” highlighted the transformative impact of this technology on pharmaceutical practices. Bart Stynen delivered an engaging talk on “Mastering Continuous Process Manufacturing in Pharmaceutical Processes” offering expert insights into optimizing manufacturing processes. Additionally, Ardhian Tirta Kusumawa’s presentation, “Real-Time Release Testing: Transforming the Pharma Industry” explored the significant changes this approach is bringing to the pharmaceutical sector.

Pharmanexa 2024 received positive feedback from attendees, including the keynote speaker and other guests.
