Covid-19 still raging globally as it the third wave hitting Europe and most European countries in their third lockdown since the Covid-19 spread. With the discovery of the Covid-19 vaccine hope for a better future way of life is still within our reach. We know that Vaccines are not drugs, it doesn’t cure. Vaccines merely encourage the formation of specific immunity against COVID-19 to avoid contracting or possibly becoming seriously ill. the safeguards we can do is implement health protocols: Wear masks properly, keep your distance (social distancing) and stay away from the crowds, and wash your hands with running water and soap.
in Indonesia officially recorded 1.537.967 confirmed positive Covid-19, 1.381.677 recover, and 41.815 decease. With the increasing number of the Covid-19 survivor give Us more hope, but we also have to stay vigilant. Therefore East Ventures initiated a movement to mobilize the strength of all elements in society to work together against COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L) is actively supporting #IndonesiaPastiBisa movement to support research on COVID-19 and to develop new test kits. We in i3L do not stop innovating and providing education through our social activities. i3L encouraging you and our aspiring scientists to take a part in this noble movement against this global pandemic.
i3L and several other institutions are working together as members of the Research and Technological Innovation Task Force to Fight COVID-19, formed by Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT). The task force was formed as a genomic data center that can help current research on COVID-19 vaccine development and treatment. The task force is also working on the development and the mass production of the COVID-19 test kits which will be distributed all over the country.
