  • Recombinant protein expression and purification

Biography

Dr. Meity Mardiana holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. She obtained her master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Tzu Chi University, Hualien, Taiwan. Her doctoral research focused on bacteriophage therapy as a novel strategy to combat Acinetobacter baumannii infections.

Following the completion of her Ph.D., Dr. Mardiana conducted postdoctoral research at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), where she investigated the therapeutic potential of bacteriophages against Klebsiella pneumoniae and explored temperate phages in Streptococcus pneumoniae. Her current research interests are centered on the utilization of bacteriophages from environmental sources and the gut microbiome, with an emphasis on their potential as alternative therapies to address antimicrobial resistance.
