Research Interest
Biography
Dina Hermawaty, Ph.D. is a plant molecular biologist by training. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology (2009) and master’s degree in biotechnology (2014) from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). She continued her PhD training at The University of Western Australia in 2015 with a full scholarship from Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and earned her PhD in plant science in 2020. Her PhD research sought to elucidate cellular and transcriptomic regulation underpins the developmental transition of mature dormant buds of grapevine cv. Cabernet Sauvignon. She is particularly interested in research on plant responses to environmental cues that bring about changes in gene expression and shape plant phenotypic plasticity.
