Biography

apt. Annisa Fatharani, S.Farm, M.Sc is a pharmacist with expertise in oncology research, clinical trial design, and translational medicine. She earned her MSc in Clinical Pharmacology (Distinction) from King’s College London, where her research explored neutrophil-mediated cytotoxicity in tumor cells following mTOR inhibition. Her work involved cell culture, co-culture models, high-content imaging, and automated image analysis using Python. She also gained expertise in clinical trial methodologies and the role of clinical pharmacology in drug development.

She holds a Pharmacist Certification (apt.) from the University of Indonesia and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (S.Farm) from Andalas University. Her undergraduate research focused on HPV detection using PCR methods in cervical cancer patients, conducted in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia.

With extensive experience in both research and clinical pharmacy, Annisa has worked in chemotherapy pharmacy, IV admixture, and inpatient pharmaceutical care. As a Chemotherapy and IV Admixture Pharmacist at Pondok Indah Group Private Hospital, she led the chemotherapy unit and supervised patient-centered pharmacy services. She also completed a student placement at the GSK Clinical Unit Cambridge, focusing on early-stage and first-in-human (FIH) clinical trials.

Annisa actively engages in scientific research and international collaborations, with her findings published and presented in peer-reviewed journals. Her recent research explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in clinical research to enhance drug development and precision medicine.

Committed to advancing pharmaceutical education and translational medicine, Annisa continues contributing to life-science research and mentoring the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists.
