i3L University Graduation 2025: Internationally Experienced Graduates Ready to Compete on the Global Stage

Jakarta, 05 December 2025i3L University (formerly Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences) successfully held its graduation ceremony, themed “Bold Beginnings,” on November 29, 2025, at the i3L University campus in Jakarta.

The ceremony conferred degrees upon 164 graduates from various study programs, reinforcing i3L’s position as a premier higher education institution focused on life sciences and business with a rigorous international perspective.

The theme “Bold Beginnings” was chosen to reflect i3L graduates’ readiness to enter the professional world, face new challenges with confidence, and make tangible contributions to society and industry.

Academic Excellence and Global Exposure

This year’s cohort’s academic performance was excellent. Notably, over 63% of the 164 graduates achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) above 3.50. This academic quality was further evidenced by achievements beyond the classroom, with graduates securing 11 national awards and one international award during their studies.

A key differentiator for i3L University is its intensive global exposure.

  • 97 students participated in international programs.
  • Graduates completed a total of 137 overseas academic activities.
  • Approximately 30 percent of these international activities were supported by external funding, highlighting the graduates’ competitiveness on the global stage.

Industry and Government Support

The ceremony featured insights from two prominent figures, emphasizing the strategic role of graduates in the health and industrial sectors:

  1. Prof. dr. Taruna Ikrar, M.Biomed., Ph.D., Head of the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM RI).
  2. Ina Agustiani, S.E., M.M., Head of the Resource Work Team at LLDIKTI Region III.

Both speakers highlighted the vital contribution these new graduates will make in meeting current industrial demands and advancing national health standards.

A Message from the Rector

In her address to the graduates, i3L University Rector, Katherine, S.T., Ph.D., emphasized that the academic journey fosters character, not just credentials. “All your efforts, from sleepless nights to the challenges you overcame one by one, have shaped you into individuals who are more confident and ready for the next step,” said Rector Katherine.

She encouraged the graduates to cherish the support of their community and families as they embarked on this new professional chapter with purpose, courage, and perseverance.

Best Graduate Class of 2025

As a testament to academic brilliance, the Best Graduate award for 2025 was presented to Josia Shemuel from the Bioinformatics study program. The event’s success was supported by strategic industry partners, including PT Asuransi Artarindo, Cipta Dimensi, Enseval, BTN, Paragon, Oishi, Unolab, Arima, and Careguard.
