Monday, March 17, 2025 — On 17th March 2025, the representative from Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology – CDTI), Mr. Adrián Gutiérrez visited i3L for the final review of the cooperation of i3L’s Food Science and Nutrition, Food Technology and the Research and Community Service Department with FRUMACO under project DOUBLE CC PROJECT (Technological Integrated Strategy through the Development of New Spreadable Products aimed at Improving the Critical Nutritional Status of Children and Young People), supported by CDTI-Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Spain.

This meeting marks the project’s completion, where i3L and CDTI proceed to also discuss further possibilities on future collaborative projects and research with i3L’s Food Science & Nutrition, Food Technology, and Biotechnology departments. The prospects were discussed enthusiastically by the CDTI and i3L meeting attendees, with a good variety of options and possibilities on research projects that they can collaborate on together.

The visitation was then followed with a campus tour of i3L’s laboratory facilities, and Mr. Gutiérrez was gifted with the student Café Lab’s signature coffee, and winter melon tea developed by i3L’s alumni. The visit was then concluded with a hopeful and positive outlook on future partnership projects.
