Career Week is an annual career networking event held by SCi Learning and Development (LnD) in collaboration with i3L’s Center of Student Development. Career Week 2021 was held on 15-20 March 2021 virtually via zoom meeting. On the first day, the event was opened with an introduction on i3L and a campus tour, followed by virtual company visits from Danone and GSI Lab. On the following day, the event continued with company profile presentations from BrightGene, Nutrifood, Burgreens, PT Adev and PT Lautan Luas Tbk. The company profile presentations explained the background of the company and also provided information about job vacancies or internships that are currently open. A webinar with the topic ‘Your Career Journey: Work or Study First’ was delivered by Mr. Pri Notowidigdo (C-suite headhunter and executive coach, PRI for People Matters) and sir Richard (Head of Master in Biomanagement) was the first webinar of this event. In this session, Mr. Pri explained about the future trends of career, unique value proposition, skills that need to be trained and what the working life is like. The second webinar with the topic “To Create Impactful CV and Be Confident In an Interview” was delivered by Ms. Merry Christine, as the Head of HRGA Kalbe Blackmores Nutritions. In the webinar, Ms. Merry gave tips and tricks on how to make an attractive CV and how to do the right interview. After the webinar, there was a session called ‘Learn Through the Alumni’, where i3L alumni (iLumni) shared their experiences on internships, job opportunities and life after graduation. A company visit from PT Adev Natural Indonesia filled the fifth day of Career Week 2021. For the last day, the event was filled with a company profile from CV. Global Science (INBIO Indonesia) and was closed with the webinar “Road to Professionalism: Learning the Basic” from Ms. Dian Mariani as the HR Manager at PT Nutrifood Indonesia.
Overall, Career Week 2021 was a very insightful event for students even though it must be conducted virtually. See you on another career week next year!
