Science is increasingly developing over time, as well as existing technology. Biotechnology is the manipulation of organisms to produce a new product that is beneficial for humans. Biotechnology is divided into two types, conventional and modern. Conventional biotechnology makes use of microorganisms in the process, such as bacteria or fungi to produce certain enzymes. Meanwhile, modern biotechnology uses more technology in the process.
An example of modern biotechnology is genetic engineering. The products produced from two biotechnology processes, both modern and conventional have a positive role and benefits for human life. Whereas, both of them aim to increase world food security. However, over time when the human brain is also developing, further policies are needed to regulate so that there is no abuse of biotechnological process, both modern or conventional.
So that the goals or benefits of biotechnology products remain as before, namely increasing world food security, not destroying the world. In the planning process, the classification of land that I support and the function of land can become a reference in agricultural development. So that with the existence of biotechnology can optimally carry the capacity and function of land according to the existing land types.
Especially on marginal land, marginal land is land that has low potential to produce agricultural corps, so that it is needed to have land modifications as well as adjustments to facilitate the plants to be planted on the land. In addition to grouping lands, hydroponic and aeroponic biotechnology products can be implemented in the Green Building program, biotechnology product can be applied to buildings because the Green Building program is designed to reduce the negative impact of buildings on human health and the environment by using energy, water, and other efficient things, to maintain the health of residents and can reduce waste, pollution, and environmental damage. Besides, the Green Building program is included in the eight elements that the Green City concept has.
