Jakarta, 16 February 2026 – i3L University (Universitas Bio Scientia Internasional Indonesia) is taking another step forward in international education by building a stronger partnership with the University of Dundee in Scotland.

The partnership was highlighted during a recent campus visit on 3 February 2026 and an information session led by Christine Wu, Senior International Officer and Regional Lead from the University of Dundee, Scotland. She was welcomed by i3L’s International Office team, Marchia Rumkorem, and Vania Amelia. This visit is an important step in giving Indonesian students direct access to top-quality education in the United Kingdom.

The 3+1 Double Degree: A Fast Track to Global Success

The partnership’s new program is a 3+1 undergraduate double degree in Biomedicine and Biotechnology.

Here’s how the program works:

• Years 1–3: Students take their core and advanced courses at i3L University in Jakarta, Indonesia.
• Final Year: Students move to the University of Dundee in Scotland to finish their degree.
• Outcome: Graduates receive degrees from both universities, which helps them stand out in the global job market and research fields.

Comprehensive Pathways for Postgraduate Excellence

The information session also gave students clear guidance on further academic options after their undergraduate studies. Ms. Wu explained the opportunities in Dundee’s Master’s and PhD programs and highlighted the university’s strong research in life sciences.

The partnership also features a guest lecture series to keep knowledge flowing between the universities. Throughout the year, Dundee faculty will give special lectures at i3L, so students can learn from international experts without leaving Jakarta.
