Wednesday, July 23, 2025 — As a significant step toward realizing its proposed transformation into a university, Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L) underwent a field assessment on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. The assessment aimed to verify the completeness of the submitted documents and evaluate the readiness of i3L’s infrastructure and facilities.

The field assessment was attended by three evaluators: Dr. Ir. Desiana Vidayanti, M.T., and Dr. Christina Juliana, CPMA, AseanCPA, CertDA., who participated in person, and Prof. Dr. Fransiscus Xaverius Sumarja, S.H., M.Hum., who joined virtually. Also in attendance were representatives from the Direktorat Kelembagaan Kemdiktisaintek and LLDIKTI Region III.

The opening session began with welcome remarks from Mr. Yuan Antonio, S.E., M.Com., Chairman of the Yayasan Scientia Internasional Indonesia. In his address, he conveyed that the proposal to transform i3L into a university is driven by the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the development of high-quality, relevant, and competitive higher education. During the same session, i3L Rector, Katherine, S.T., Ph.D., delivered a brief presentation introducing the profile of i3L and the rationale behind the proposed transformation.

The agenda continued with the assessment session, which was divided into three aspects: (general, legal, financial) and conducted in parallel at separate locations. A campus tour was also held to provide firsthand view of the infrastructure and facilities available at i3L, guided by Elizabeth Sidhartha, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs), and Rio Hermantara, S.Si., M.Biotech., Ph.D. (Dean of School of Life Sciences).

The field assessment concluded with the presentation of recommendations by the assessors, followed by closing remarks from the Rector of i3L and a group photo session.
