Biography

Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Arli Aditya Parikesit, S.Si., M.Si. is the former Vice-Rector of Research and Industrial Collaboration and Faculty Member of Bioinformatics Department at i3L. He finished his bachelor’s and master’s studies both in the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences, University of Indonesia. His master’s degree was streamed in Biotechnology. In order to pursue the degree in Bioinformatics, he was awarded the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellow to conduct doctorate research at Bioinformatics Group, Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics, University of Leipzig, Germany. 

Dr.rer.nat. Arli Aditya Parikesit, S.Si., M.Si.

His doctoral research is focused on the utilization of modern protein domain annotation techniques to the three domains of life. In addition, Dr. Arli is also an expert on immunoinformatic, in silico drug design, and in silico transcriptomics. His interests now extend into the domain of artificial intelligence as well.

On January 26, 2024, the Indonesia International Institute for Life-Sciences (i3L) held a professorial inauguration ceremony for Dr. Arli Parikesit. Prof. Dr. Arli Parikesit became the first professor at i3L, and his expertise and dedication have led him to this prestigious achievement
