Biography

Wided Kouidhi, B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD. was born in Tunisia. She has a bachelor degree in Biotechnology and a Master in Science in human physiology. She achieved her Ph.D. from the University of Burgundy in France. During her Ph.D. she conducted a research project on the effects of endocrine disruptors (chemicals that can interfere with the endocrine system) on the oral cavity and salivary glands. Dr. Wided also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hong Kong and University of Malaya in Malaysia.

Wided Kouidhi, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Her research expertise revolves around the toxicology area and especially the harmful effects of endocrine disruptors such as pesticides; plastic compounds and natural products like phytoestrogens on human’s health and have published research articles related to this field. She joined i3L in 2018 as a biomedicine faculty member and has secured an internal research grant from i3L to conduct her research project: Effect of Bisphenol S on brain neurodevelopment in mice. She was also member multidisciplinary research project in i3L where she investigated the wound healing effect of Kombucha biocellulose on mice. She participated to a CSR activity: Empowering physical activity and vital signs monitoring for promoting healthy lifestyle in elderly.
