After two years of holding the Graduation Ceremony online due to COVID-19 restrictions, Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L) held its first Onsite Multilocation Graduation, which took place on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The opening of the graduation ceremony was marked by the sounding of the gong by the Rector, Ibu Katherine, S.T., Ph.D. There are 159 graduates who managed to graduate on time. The graduation ceremony itself was held in two sessions on the same day. The morning session was held at 07:00-10:00 WIB, while the afternoon session was held at 11:00-12:30 WIB.
The Rector delivered some good news: there was an upgrade in Biomedicine and Biotechnology accreditations: these two programs both received the UNGGUL accreditation. In addition, the Rector also stated that the i3L International Office had developed the school’s international exposure to as many as 16 countries with a total of more than 30 international collaborations.
In research, i3L won the top 10 Brin Grants awards in 2021, and in 2022 i3L received 28 award grants with a value of 7 billion Rupiah which is an increase compared to 2021. Apart from awards, i3L also continues to contribute to community service despite the obstacles of COVID-19. i3L has successfully carried out 137 community service activities with a total funding of 500 million Rupiah. For the graduating cohort’s achievements, there were 13 competitions won at both national and international levels. Vidjongtius, President Director of PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk., congratulated i3L and all graduates from the class of 2022 for the achievements obtained. He also expressed his support for the graduates to continue to be proactive when working. In addition, Vidjongtius hoped that i3L graduates would later become specialists who are truly experts in their fields and can create
useful innovations in the future. In closing, Vidjongtius told everyone to never stop learning because graduation is the beginning of life. “I believe that the graduates are educated people who are ready to contribute to developing their region and country. We hope that the alumni can continue to maintain the good name of the institution through proud achievements in the future.” Said Vidjongtius.
