Clara M.Sc. was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She received her Bachelor degree in Food Science at University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2010. A summer job as a research assistant in a lipid laboratory encouraged her to continue the academic pathway. She completed her Master degree in 2010 with a thesis focusing on bioactive compounds in flaxseeds. Following a tenure as a researcher in a nutraceutical company in Canada, Clara moved to Bali for a job as Research and Development Manager at a global manufacturing company of sustainable organic spices and natural ingredients. Currently, she is working as a Faculty Member of the Food Science and Nutrition program. Her goal is to prepare students to be ready with complete skills and the right attitude needed to thrive in food industries.
