On 9 May 2023 the Indonesia International Student Mobility Awards program (IISMA) held an Onboarding Ceremony for Awardees. The IISMA program was hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Kampus Merdeka, Educational Fund Management Institution (LPDP) and through the Indonesian Directorate of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
IISMA is a very competitive and prestigious scholarship scheme by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students for mobility programs at top universities and reputable industries overseas. This year alone, a total 7.500 + 1.400 applicants have applied for the program, but only 1/4 of the applicants were able to be accepted.
In the Onboarding Ceremony, three of i3L’s IISMA participants were invited to represent their fellow i3L awardees and attend the esteemed event, alongside the Head of International office. They were greeted with moving speeches by the esteemed speakers – Head of the IISMA program: Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya, Chief Executor of Kampus Merdeka: Drs. Gugup Kismono MBA. PhD, Director General of Vocational Education: Dr. Ir. Kiki Yulianti M.Sc, and Prof. Ir. Nizam M.Sc DIC PhD IPU ASEA.Eng
