Biography

apt. Fandi Sutanto, S.Farm., M.Si., Ph.D. obtained his pharmacist (2011) and master’s (2013) degrees from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia. He then worked as a scientist in the analytical department at a pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. In December 2015, he was awarded the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education scholarship to pursue his doctoral degree. He started his Ph.D. in Drug Design Department – Pharmacy, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and finished in 2020. During his Ph.D., he focused on the development of novel covalent inhibitors utilizing multicomponent reactions under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Dömling. Dr. Fandi is passionate about organic synthesis and analytical chemistry. His aim is to promote analytical and critical thinking as an important mindset for the young generations.
