The School of Business of Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L), under the leadership of lecturer Tresya Febrinasari Naue, recently conducted a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program on financial literacy in Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia.

The program aimed to provide small and medium-sized businesses in Labuan Bajo with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their finances effectively and sustainably. The event consisted of a series of seminars and workshops, where participants learned about budgeting, goal-setting, investment strategies, and other essential financial skills.

According to Naue, the program is intended to be a blueprint for how to deliver financial literacy education to small and micro businesses across Indonesia. She emphasized the importance of financial literacy in promoting economic sustainability and growth, particularly in rural areas where many businesses struggle to access capital and manage their finances.

The CSR program was well-received by the local community, with many participants expressing appreciation for the opportunity to learn new skills and connect with other business owners. The program was also notable for its emphasis on social responsibility, with participants encouraged to consider the environmental and social impact of their business practices.

Overall, i3L’s School of Business CSR program on financial literacy represents a promising approach to promoting sustainable business practices and economic growth in rural communities across Indonesia. As the country continues to develop and modernize, initiatives like these will play an increasingly important role in ensuring that all businesses have the support they need to thrive and contribute to the country’s prosperity.
