As a part of our Institute’s program for External Quality Assurance, on 12-14 March 2023 assessors from the Indonesian Independent Accreditation Body for Information and Computer (Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Informatika dan Komputer – LAMINFOKOM) visited i3L to conduct a field assessment for the re-accreditation of the Bio Informatics Study Program.
The Lead Assessor was Yudi Priyadi, S.T., M.T. from Universitas Telkom, who was accompanied by the Second Assessor, Dr. Elviawaty Muisa Zamzami, S.T., M.T., M.M., from Universitas Sumatera Utara. They were received by the Rector of i3L, Katherine, S.T., Ph.D.; the Dean of the School of Life Sciences, apt. Pietradewi Hartrianti, S.Farm., M.Farm., Ph.D.; the Head of Bio Informatics Study Program, David Agustriawan, S.Kom., M.Sc., Ph.D.; as well as the entire board of management, faculty and supporting units.
The event started with an opening speech and introduction of i3L’s profile by the Dean of the School of Life Sciences, followed by a speech and introduction of the Bio Informatics Study Program by the Head of Study Program. Afterwards, the assessors were given a tour of i3L’s facilities, such as the Computer Labs in the third floor, the Library, faculty’s offices, and other places.
Following the tour, the assessors verified the availability of the documents, files and evidences for the different criteria to be assessed. For instance, the assessors inquired about the amount of students involved in Community Service activities and whether the activities are aligned with the Roadmap.
Furthermore, the assessors also requested to see i3L’s online Academic Informaction System (ACIS) to understand how monitoring and evaluation of students’ classes are carried out. Besides that, the assessors conducted interviews with current students who are enrolled in BI and the teaching staff.
At the end of the assessment, the Official Report of the assessment was signed by the assessors, the Dean and the Head of Study Program. The asessors stated that they would be interested in collaborating with i3L in the future, such as by writing scientific papers together. Our Rector concluded the event with a final speech and thanked the assessors for coming to i3L.
