It is everyone’s dream to have a clean, smooth and healthy face. Unfortunately, skin problems like acne have been some of the biggest life problems for a lot of people. Acne does not only leave our faces unclean, it also leaves permanent scars on our faces which are quite visible.
Below are some of the things you can do to prevent acne. Let’s take a look!
Thoroughly wash your face twice a day
Wash your face twice a day with water and soap which has a soft formula. Rub and rinse your face with clean hot water. Avoid rubbing your face with pumice or rough sponge: clean your face with a soft cloth or your hands. Dry your face by gently tapping it with a clean towel.
Use moisturizer
After washing your face, do not forget to apply moisturizer to keep your face skin hydrated. Choose a moisturizer that suits your skin type and choose a product with a non comedogenic label to minimize acne production.
Avoid touching your face
Touching your face can contribute to the production of acne, and you might do it without realizing it. All the dirt and bacteria you have on your hands can move to the surface of your face and can cause your pores to clog. We should stop the habit of touching our faces and start ensuring our hands’ hygiene before touching our faces.
Avoid stress
Studies found that stress is a contributor to acne production and it worsens acne problems. If you are experiencing a lot of stress, it is better to find a solution to let go of that stress: talk to people who are closest to you, do yoga, go on a vacation or do meditation.
Drink more water
Keeping your body well-hydrated is a great way to prevent acne. To stay hydrated, you drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
Do routine exercise
Doing exercise regularly is a proven solution to prevent acne and maintain health and beauty of skin. When you do exercise, you should wear something comfortable to avoid skin irritation. After exercise, you should take a shower and wash your face with a soap which suits your skin type.
