Research Interest

Biography

Hermeindito was born in May 1968 in Surabaya, Indonesia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Management from Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia in 1993. He completed his master’s study in Management at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia in 1997. He pursued his Ph.D. in Finance from 2000-2004 at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

He worked as a Faculty Member at Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya from 1994-2014 and Universitas Ciputra Surabaya from 2014-2017. Currently, he is working at Institut Bio Scientia Internasional Indonesia (Indonesia International Institute of Life Sciences, i3L). He also has teaching experiences at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, at their undergraduate program (2002-2004), master’s program (2009-2014 and 2017-2021), and Ph.D. program (2009). He had supervised two Ph.D. dissertations at the Postgraduate School of Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya. He had also had the honor of being assigned as the Vice-Rector of Academics at Kalbe Institute from 2020 to 2021.

His research concerns corporate finance, investment, and capital market-based research. He won the award of Best Indonesia Young Researcher in Economics, Business, and Management in 2002 from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). He received fundamental research grants from Higher Education Ministry in 2007-2008 and from Research, Technology, and Higher Education Ministry in 2016. He also received individual research grants from East Asian Development Network (EADN) in 2006 (as co-author) and 2013 (as a single author).

*Research results in life sciences need further action in order to turn them into the invention and innovation of products and services that can be brought to potential markets. Our students in Bioentrepreneurship and Biomanagement at the School of Business address those challenges and opportunities to create Blue Ocean potential markets. Research collaborations between students from the School of Life Sciences and the School of Business create a synergy that will positively impact the future of Indonesian economic growth based on renewable resources and a green economy. *
