Biography

Nanda Rizqia Pradana Ratnasari, S.Si, M.Stat. is an Indonesian national. She completed her bachelor’s degree in science in Statistics at Universitas Brawijaya. She was awarded the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarship to pursue her master’s degree in Statistics at the Australian National University, Canberra. Both her bachelor’s and master’s theses focused on stochastic modeling and its application in sciences and economics.

She worked as a lecturer assistant at Universitas Brawijaya prior to her master’s study, teaching statistics and its applications in natural sciences. During that time, she also worked as a statistics and data analyst at the Study Center for State and Local Government Finance. She has some teaching experiences in Indonesia, Australia, and Italy; and did research projects at the Australian National University, the University of Queensland, and International Statistics Institute.

Currently, Nanda works as a Faculty Member of the Bioinformatics program at i3L. Her interest is in statistical modeling, data science, and machine learning. She also focuses on data analysis using Rstudio and Python. She also has a keen aim at applying them to life sciences. She believes that, in education, if young generations are instilled a passion for learning statistics in interesting ways, Indonesia will be able to rule the big data era.
