apt. Pietradewi Hartrianti, M.Farm., Ph.D. is a faculty member of the Pharmacy Department and has completed her Bachelor and Master degree at the University of Indonesia majoring in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences. Following the completion of her Master degree, she pursued her postgraduate study at the Nanyang Technological University, School of Materials Science and Engineering, specializing in biomaterials and tissue engineering. Her research during her bachelor and master years focused on the area of drug delivery, specifically transdermal and buccal delivery of conventional and/or protein drugs, while her Ph.D. research focused on the utilization of crosslinked human hair keratin as alternative bioinert materials for several biomedical purposes such as tissue engineering, wound healing and/or drug delivery. She also owned a shared US patent for her work in crosslinked human hair keratin and has published research articles related to this work.
Dr. Hartrianti research expertise and interest revolve around the topic of natural and biodegradable materials utilization for tissue engineering and drug delivery purposes. She is very passionate about teaching and helping students developing their own analytical and critical thinking, hence they are able to develop their own innovative idea and problem-solving capacity.
